Secret Guilty Pleasures

December 30, 2014 by Amy Langrehr

My mom is so darn cute. Guilty pleasures exist in so many aspects of life: television, music, food to name a few. Maybe you secretly watch the Kardashians or belt out Barry Manilow in the car. I do love a Real Housewives marathon, but now I am cable tv-free, so that one has been nipped …

Tis the season for the nog

December 24, 2014 by Amy Langrehr

Egg nog. It’s one of those things that people either love or absolutely will never ever drink. Or even try. It grosses them out. Like raw oysters. Or tapioca.

December 22, 2014 by Amy Langrehr

What are some of your favorite cookbooks of the last year? Which cookbook or food memoir are you hoping to add to your collection? Chef Zack Mills

December 15, 2014 by Amy Langrehr

Wit & Wisdom Chef Zack Mills is a pretty even-keeled guy. For my favorite holiday ever…my favorite pie ever!

November 17, 2014 by Amy Langrehr

Sure, I like pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving dinner. And sweet potato. And apple. But what I really want is chocolate cream pie. This one is so good. If you want to make it more Thanksgiving-y, maybe add maple or something otherwise autumnal (I love that word, so fanc…) to the whipped cream topping.

In praise of the best holiday. Ever.

November 11, 2014 by Amy Langrehr

This is a repost about my very favorite holiday of the year, Thanksgiving. It’s the perfect holiday – it’s all about food. For me personally, the celebrations have changed over the years, but I’m always with people I care about. Whether that’s friends or family, it does not matter. I love my people. So much.
